Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Meal Preparation: Assist in preparing meals according to planned menus and dietary specifications, including chopping vegetables, preparing desserts, and portion control

• Meal Service: Set up resident trays, serve meals and snacks, and ensure all residents are accommodated

• Special Dietary Needs: Follow instructions to meet residents’ dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences

• Kitchen Maintenance: Wash and sanitize utensils, pots, pans, and flatware; clean and organize kitchen and dining areas

• Inventory & Supplies: Receive, date, and store food deliveries; assist with inventory management

• Safety & Sanitation: Follow food handling, handwashing, and sanitation procedures; maintain a safe work environment

• Teamwork: Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and other staff to address resident needs

About the Role:

As a Dietary Aide at Hartsville Rehab and Healthcare, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. You will be an integral part of our food service team, working closely with our Head Cook, Dietary Aide, and Dietary Department Head to ensure exceptional meal service and patient satisfaction.

Requirements:

• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods

• Basic math skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
