Live In Caregiver 3 Days shift and 4 Days off

Are you a compassionate and dependable caregiver who enjoys helping others maintain their comfort, dignity, and independence? Dovida – Jacksonville is looking for a dedicated Live-In Caregiver to provide personalized support and companionship to clients in the comfort of their own home.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to build meaningful relationships with clients while becoming an important part of their daily care and well-being.

POSITION DETAILS

• Schedule: Work 4 days per week, followed by 3 days off, on a rotating schedule with another caregiver.

• Living Arrangements: A private bedroom is provided. The bathroom, kitchen, and common living areas are shared.

Important Schedule Information: This position involves providing daytime assistance and being present overnight. It does not require continuous hands-on caregiving throughout the night.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Live-In Caregiver, you will help clients feel safe, comfortable, and supported in their daily lives. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.

• Supporting safe movement and transfers as needed.

• Preparing meals, encouraging proper hydration, and assisting with everyday routines.

• Performing light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.

• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support.

• Offering medication reminders according to the client’s care plan and authorized duties.

• Following the established care plan and promptly reporting changes in the client’s condition or needs.

• Maintaining a safe environment while respecting each client’s dignity, privacy, independence, and personal preferences.

• Communicating effectively with the care team and family members as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We’re looking for candidates who are caring, responsible, and committed to providing quality in-home care.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Caregiver, CNA, HHA, or related training is a plus.

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to complete required background checks, work-authorization verification, and health screenings.
