Experienced Direct Support Professional - Joseph Potenzone

Kindly Direct Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional for a complex one-to-one assignment in Cape May Courthouse, NJ.

About This Opportunity 

This position requires a DSP with strong judgment, reliability, and relevant direct-care experience. The individual requires a lot of physical assistance, including help with his Hoyer lift, wheelchair, personal care, and community-based support.

Responsibilities May Include 

• Provide an individual who is wheelchair bound and needs a wheelchair with ADL support, community-based support as required. 

• Provide close one-to-one supervision and safety monitoring. 

• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, health, and safety protocols within DSP scope and training. 

• Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence. 

• Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly. 

• Recognize and promptly report changes in health, behavior, functioning, or safety. 

• Respond appropriately to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures. 

• Maintain accurate service documentation and dependable communication with the care team. 

Qualifications 

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role required

• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols. 

• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening. 

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment. 

• Possession of a reliable vehicle

• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently. 

Schedule: 2-3 days a week after 3:30
Pay: $17-$21/hour
Location: Cape May Court House, NJ
Driving on shift: Required
