A Skilled Nursing Facility in the Bronx is seeking an experienced and dedicated nursing professional for a leadership opportunity within a long-term care setting.
Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management responsibilities and the delivery of quality resident care.
Conduct weekly wound and skin rounds to monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Support regulatory compliance and promote effective communication across all levels of nursing staff.
Ensure residents' nursing and medical care needs are appropriately addressed.
Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation or provide on-call coverage as required.
Coordinate and oversee the planning and delivery of nursing services.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practices, and applicable standards of care.
Ensure medical records and clinical documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and orienting new nursing staff.
Oversee daily staffing operations to ensure appropriate nursing coverage.
Support infection prevention and control initiatives.
Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate operational needs and unexpected situations.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Minimum of three years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
Two years of nursing management experience preferred.
One year of staff education or clinical training experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and team-building abilities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to meet the scheduling and operational demands of the position.
