Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at Cloverdale Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Scottsboro, AL. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by designing and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, relaxation, and entertainment. Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a variety of activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including recreational, educational, and therapeutic programs

• Collaborate with the Activities Director to plan and execute special events, outings, and celebrations

• Conduct individual and group activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and exercises, to promote socialization and cognitive stimulation

• Assist with the development and implementation of programs designed to enhance physical function, flexibility, and mobility

• Maintain accurate records of activities, including attendance, participation, and evaluations

• Participate in monthly staff meetings and provide input on activities and programs

• Assist with resident transportation and mobility as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends

• Comfortable working with older adults and individuals with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities
