MDS Director – Skilled Nursing Facility

A leading skilled nursing facility in the Tampa, FL area, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MDS Director to join its dedicated clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on resident care.

Compensation: $85,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee timely, accurate MDS assessments and individualized care planning.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and CMS guidelines.

• Lead interdisciplinary collaboration to support quality, resident-centered care.

• Monitor clinical documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

• Provide leadership, education, and guidance to staff on MDS processes and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license preferred.

• 2+ years of MDS experience in a skilled nursing facility

• Strong knowledge of MDS 3.0, the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), and regulatory requirements.

• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation systems.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
