Always Best Care of Greater Cleveland is looking for a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide quality, patient-centered care in a home health setting.

Compensation and Mileage

• $40 per point

• Mileage reimbursement of $0.43 per mile. Mileage reimbursement is not provided for travel to the first visit or from the last visit of your workday.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision and direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.

• Assist patients in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, grooming, and other functional tasks.

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Help patients improve strength, coordination, balance, and functional independence within the established plan of care.

• Educate patients and caregivers on safe techniques, adaptive equipment, and strategies for daily activities.

• Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or response to treatment to the supervising Occupational Therapist.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.

• Follow infection control procedures, patient safety standards, and professional practice requirements.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

• Current and valid Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant license.

• Current NBCOT certification, as required by applicable regulations and company policy.

• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between patient visits.

• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing quality patient care.

• Ability to work independently while following the supervising Occupational Therapist's plan of care.
