As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Merit House Rehab, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, vital signs, and physical examinations to determine individual needs and develop appropriate care plans

• Administer medications, injections, and other treatments following strict protocols and safety standards

• Manage complex medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as PCC to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with HIPAA regulations

• Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory impairments, or developmental disabilities, including memory care and behavioral health support

• Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, catheterization, and wound suturing while maintaining aseptic techniques

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and patient education to promote optimal recovery and well-being

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding (ICD-9/10) for accurate documentation and billing purposes

• Skilled in using EMR/EHR systems like PCC familiarity with medical imaging and laboratory processes enhances your effectiveness

• Demonstrated ability to perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, catheter care, medication administration via injections or CPR certification required

• Excellent patient assessment skills coupled with compassionate caregiver communication tailored to individuals with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or behavioral health needs

• Knowledge of infection control practices and long-term care regulations ensures safe practice environments

• Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations such as emergency medicine or urgent care while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies
