Maintenance Tech

Position Title:  Maintenance Tech

Education/Training:

• High School diploma or equivalent. 

• Understanding of shop tools. 

• Vo-tech training in HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical/Carpentry or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Skills/Requirements:

• Ability to use testing instruments. 

• Knowledge of general carpentry practices

• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, Electrical & Plumbing.

• Ability to read/understand blueprints.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with diagnostic evaluations on various types of equipment. HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical & appliances will be the main focus of repairs. 

• Repair issues with equipment once an issue is isolated.

• Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment.

• Assist in Villa/Apartment/Health Care room make-ready's.

• General upkeep of property. This includes painting, light carpentry, campus trash removal and landscaping.

Physical demands:

• Must be able to lift over 50lbs.

• Be able to walk over 15,000 steps per day.

• The majority of tasks performed are inside of climate-controlled areas but occasionally we must work on equipment outside and be exposed to sever weather conditions for short periods of time.

• Be able to climb ladders/stairs.

 Other Pertinent Facts:

1.      Must be able to assist in after hour work call-ins on occasion. 

2.      Must have reliable transportation. 

3.      We provide ALL required tools.

4.      Must be able to work some weekends when scheduled person is off.

Supervisory Controls:

       Reports to the Director of Maintenance.
