About the Role

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, working closely with occupational therapists, other healthcare professionals, and patients to design and implement personalized rehabilitation programs. Your duties will include:

• Implementing occupational therapy interventions, such as activities of daily living (ADL) training and cognitive rehabilitation
• Providing patient education and training on adaptive techniques and strategies
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy sessions and activities under the supervision of an occupational therapist

• Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients

Requirements

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification

• Minimum 0 years of experience in occupational therapy

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
