About the Role:

As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating activities designed to promote socialization, recreation, and overall well-being among our patients and residents. This is a full-time opportunity to join a dynamic team of healthcare professionals dedicated to providing exceptional care and promoting a sense of community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a variety of recreational activities, including games, arts and crafts, and social events, tailored to the needs and interests of our patients and residents

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapy and nursing staff, to create individualized activity plans that support each patient's rehabilitation goals and overall well-being

• Conduct assessments to identify patient and resident needs and preferences, and adjust activities accordingly

• Maintain accurate records of activities and patient/resident participation

• Assist with setup and cleanup of activity areas, ensuring a safe and inviting environment for patients and residents

• Provide support to patients and residents with daily living tasks, such as transfers and ambulation, as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Recreation Therapy or related field preferred

• 0 years of experience in healthcare or a related field; training or certification in activities administration a plus

• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, residents, and staff of diverse backgrounds and abilities

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
