Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Environmental Services and Maintenance to oversee the cleanliness, safety, and upkeep of the facility. This role leads environmental services and maintenance operations, supporting a clean, comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance operations.

• Lead, schedule, train, and support environmental services and maintenance staff.

• Establish and monitor cleaning, sanitation, and facility upkeep practices.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and work orders.

• Monitor building systems and equipment, and arrange timely service when needed.

• Maintain supply inventories and coordinate with vendors and contractors.

• Support compliance with applicable safety, sanitation, and infection prevention requirements.

• Participate in facility inspections, surveys, and emergency preparedness activities.

• Respond to resident and staff concerns related to cleanliness, comfort, or facility conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising environmental services, housekeeping, maintenance, or facilities operations.

• Experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting preferred.

• Knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, preventive maintenance, and workplace safety practices.

• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and respond to facility needs.

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
