Position Summary

Port St Lucie Hospital is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and dependable PRN Housekeeper to maintain strict hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout our healthcare facility. In this vital role, you will sanitize patient rooms, disinfect high-touch areas, handle waste management, and ensure a safe, infection-free environment for patients, visitors, and medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performs major floor cleaning and refinishing.

2. Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas.

3. Moves and arranges furniture.

4. Assists and oversee special functions in hospital.

5. Monitors and reports safety hazards.

6. Cleans up emergency spills.

7. Removes trash and places in outside container.

8. Uses appropriate infection control and hazardous waste techniques.

9. Performs special projects and other job related work as required or requested.

10. Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the Code of Conduct

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED.

2. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in housekeeping at health care facility
