Housekeeping Aide

Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned, including but not limited to: vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, and taking out the trash
Assist with cleaning and maintaining resident rooms, common areas, and corridors
Disinfect and sanitize surfaces, equipment, and furniture to maintain a clean and healthy environment
Empties ashtrays daily and cleans walls, ceilings, and floors as needed
Reports any hazardous conditions or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor
Participates in infection control and universal precautions practices
Maintains the appearance of maintenance work areas and minimizes waste of supplies
Provides exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff
Demonstrates ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Ability to work independently and make independent decisions
Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and the general public
Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas
Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, and seek out new methods and principles to incorporate into existing maintenance practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times
