Activities Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Activity Aide carries out the activity program day-to-day — leading groups, escorting residents to programs, providing one-to-one engagement, and supporting outings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead group activities (exercise, crafts, music, games, cognitive stimulation) per the calendar.

• Provide one-to-one engagement to residents who can’t or don’t join groups, including residents with advanced dementia.

• Escort residents to and from activities safely.

• Set up and break down activity spaces; maintain supplies.

• Document participation in the resident record.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Frequent walking and standing throughout the building, with periods of seated work. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. Manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient to lead activities and complete documentation. WORK
