Laundry Aide

Responsibilities

• Operate laundry equipment safely and properly.

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and other laundry items.

• Follow proper linen-handling and infection-prevention procedures.

• Use PPE and laundry chemicals safely and appropriately.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the laundry area.

• Follow procedures to prevent cross-contamination.

• Keep laundry supplies and work areas organized.

• Perform other duties as assigned based on facility needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional cleaning preferred.

• 1 year of experience preferred, but entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.

• Prior healthcare/SNF/LTC laundry experience is a plus.

• Knowledge of infection prevention, linen handling, PPE, sanitation, cross-contamination prevention, and proper use of laundry chemicals preferred.

• Must be reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.

• Must be able to safely operate laundry equipment and perform the physical duties required for the position.
