The Californian-Pasadena is an 82-bed skilled nursing facility conveniently located directly across the street from Huntington Hospital. We are currently seeking Full-Time and Part-Time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to join our rehabilitation team.

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist

• Carry out individualized plans of care addressing mobility, strength, balance, endurance, transfers, gait, and functional independence

• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and other skilled interventions

• Monitor residents' response to treatment and communicate changes in functional or medical status to the supervising PT

• Progress treatments appropriately within the established plan of care

• Educate residents and families regarding mobility, safety, fall prevention, and therapeutic exercises

• Collaborate with PTs, OTs, COTAs, SLPs, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Participate in care coordination, staff education, and quality improvement initiatives

• Help create a positive and encouraging rehabilitation experience for our residents

Qualifications

• Current California Physical Therapist Assistant license – required

• CPR/BLS certification

• Skilled nursing, post-acute, or long-term care experience preferred, but new graduates and newer clinicians are encouraged to apply

• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with the supervising PT and interdisciplinary team

• Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care
