Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and facilitating recreational and social activities for residents

• Lead group and individual activities that promote engagement and socialization

• Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests and abilities

• Provide one-on-one assistance to residents as needed

• Create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all participants

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation

• Work collaboratively with nursing and other departments to support residents’ needs

• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed

• Help promote residents’ overall well-being and quality of life

Qualifications

• MEPAP certification preferred

• Qualified Activities Assistant or relevant certification preferred

• Previous experience in long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or resident activities preferred

• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff

• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
