Join our dedicated healthcare team as a full-time State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) working day shifts! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care to our residents and patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. As an STNA, you will play a key part in supporting the health and well-being of individuals across various care settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and home care environments. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a positive environment where patients feel valued and cared for every day.

Responsibilities

Assist residents and patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using safe lifting practices and assistive devices like Hoyer lifts.

Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; document findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.

Provide compassionate dementia and Alzheimer’s care, creating a safe and engaging environment tailored to memory care needs.

Collaborate with nursing staff to report changes in patient condition promptly; assist with medical documentation and record keeping.

Practice aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection; handle medical equipment such as catheters with precision and care.

Facilitate patient transfers using proper patient transfer methods; operate equipment like Hoyer lifts safely while adhering to OSHA standards for manual handling.

Skills

Proven experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care or nursing home settings; familiarity with senior care best practices.

Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (CPR) certification.

Experience using EMR/EHR systems such as PCC for accurate documentation.

Strong caregiving communication skills to effectively interact with patients with disabilities or cognitive impairments such as dementia or memory loss.

Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics; understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.

Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
