About the Director of Social Services Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Social Services to lead our social services department. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating social services programs to meet the needs of our residents, their families, and our staff. Director of Social Services Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate social services programs to meet the needs of our residents, their families, and our staff

• Lead and manage the social services department, including supervising a team of social workers and activity coordinators

• Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and activities, to ensure a comprehensive approach to resident care

• Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and community resources to support our residents' needs

• Provide guidance and support to residents, their families, and our staff on social service-related issues

• Monitor and report on program outcomes and resident satisfaction

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall care and services provided

Director of Social Services Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field

• Prior experience in a long term care facility required

• Strong leadership and management skills

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
