After School Behavior Technician | Work With Kids

Looking for meaningful part time work during the afternoon and early evening hours?

One Step Forward is looking for an experienced Behavior Technician / ABA Therapist to work one on one with children with autism in the Florham Park, East Hanover, and Cedar Knolls area.

We currently have in home opportunities available during weekday after school hours, with consistent schedules and ongoing BCBA supervision.

Pay: $22–$32 per hour based on experience

An After School Schedule You Can Count On

These are ongoing cases, not temporary or fill in shifts. You'll have the opportunity to work with the same client on a consistent schedule and become an important part of their treatment team.

Current opportunities are available during weekday afternoons and early evenings.

We make every effort to match therapists with cases based on their location and availability.

What You'll Do

You'll provide one on one ABA therapy in the child's home while following an individualized treatment plan developed and supervised by a BCBA.

Your sessions may focus on:

• Communication and language skills

• Social and play skills

• Independence and daily living skills

• Following routines and transitions

• Building new skills through reinforcement and prompting

• Reducing behaviors that interfere with learning

• Helping children use skills more independently in everyday situations

You'll also collect data during sessions, complete electronic session documentation, and communicate regularly with your supervising BCBA about progress and treatment goals.

Support From Your BCBA

You'll have ongoing supervision and clinical guidance from a BCBA who knows your client and their treatment program.

Our clinical and administrative teams are also available to help with scheduling, documentation, and other questions that come up along the way.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous ABA experience

• Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities

• Experience as an ABA Therapist, Behavior Technician, RBT, paraprofessional, special education aide, or similar role

• A dependable and professional approach

• Strong communication skills

• The ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule

• Reliable transportation for in home sessions

Hours are primarily weekday afternoons and early evenings, making this a good fit for someone looking for consistent after school ABA hours.
