Midtown Assisted Living Residence is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance professional to join our team in Hollywood, Florida. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our living spaces, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents. Responsibilities

• Assist with landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, and planting

• Maintain lawn care equipment and perform routine checks

• Repair and maintain exterior and interior door locks

• Clean and maintain windows, screens, and exterior surfaces

• Replace burned-out light bulbs and clean air filters

• Service heating and cooling units according to manufacturer guidelines and facility policies

• Assist with fire drills, life safety code assignments, and safety audits

• Perform minor equipment repair, carpentry duties, and operate hand tools

• Other duties as assigned to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the facility

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Experience with commercial maintenance and repair of buildings, plumbing, electrical systems, alarm systems, appliances, commercial stoves, refrigerators, air-conditioning and heating units

• General construction experience preferred

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Must display professionalism, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude

• Must genuinely care for and understand the elderly and other persons with various disabilities

• Must possess the ability to work harmoniously with other personnel and follow written and oral instructions
