Laundry Aide

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Laundry Aide to join our nursing home team. This position is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and distributing resident clothing and facility linens while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized laundry environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold resident clothing and facility linens.

• Distribute clean laundry to residents and designated areas.

• Ensure resident clothing is properly labeled and returned to the correct resident.

• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

• Follow infection control and safety procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry department.

• Report damaged linens, equipment issues, or supply needs to the supervisor.

• Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.

• Provide courteous service to residents, families, and staff.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or healthcare experience preferred but not required.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Must be dependable, organized, and detail oriented.

• Ability to push/pull laundry carts and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
