As a part-time Activities Assistant at Buckeye Commons Care & Rehabilitation, you will play a vital role in creating engaging experiences for our residents. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help foster a sense of community and fulfillment for our residents, while also supporting our mission to deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate activities, games, and events for residents, including arts and crafts, exercise programs, and social gatherings

• Develop and maintain relationships with residents to understand their interests and needs

• Collaborate with other team members to plan and implement events and activities

• Encourage resident participation and socialization through various activities

• Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation

• Participate in care conferences and provide input on resident care plans

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation therapy or related field preferred

• Ability to work part-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively with seniors and individuals with varying abilities

• Familiarity with activity planning and coordination

• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
