About the Role
Do you love cooking for people and want your work to make a real difference every day? The W Assisted Living Management Company is looking for a talented, energetic Weekend Cook with a "YES WE CAN" attitude. You'll prepare fresh, nourishing meals for our residents, many of whom look forward to mealtime as a highlight of their day. If you take pride in great food, a clean kitchen, and caring for seniors, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook meals for residents following standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and planned menus

• Accommodate special diets and texture modifications (such as low sodium, diabetic, and mechanical soft) as ordered

• Plan food production so meals are ready on time and served at the proper temperature

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Keep the kitchen, storage areas, and your workstation clean, organized, and inspection-ready

• Store, label, and handle food in line with federal, state, and local health department standards

• Work as a team with dietary aides and staff to deliver a positive dining experience for residents

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED

• Experience in culinary or food service; experience in senior living, healthcare, or institutional kitchens is a plus

• Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain one upon hire)

• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices

• A warm, resident-focused attitude and strong communication skills

• Reliability and availability to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
