Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Ameriwell Care is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to an individual in North Brunswick, NJ. on weekends. (Friday & Saturday)

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily personal care, hygiene, showering, dressing, and grooming

• Provide support with toileting and occasional incontinence needs

• Assist with morning routines and changing bed linens when needed

• Prepare meals and encourage healthy mealtime routines

• Take walks and participate in community or recreational activities

• Plan engaging activities such as games, crafts, movies, and other interests

• Assist with laundry and light housekeeping

• Help maintain a clean and organized living environment

• Encourage independence and development of daily living skills

• Provide patient, respectful, and compassionate support

Qualifications

• Previous DSP, caregiving, or IDD experience preferred

• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care

• Patient, kind, responsible, and dependable

• Strong communication skills

• Reliable transportation

• Ability to maintain dignity, privacy, and professionalism
