Dietary Cook Job Summary

The Dietary Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals for residents and staff while following food safety standards, dietary requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to established menus and residents’ dietary requirements

• Follow food safety, sanitation, storage, and portion-control standards

• Determine food and supply needs for daily meal production

• Coordinate food preparation with meal service times to maintain quality, temperature, and presentation

• Assist with scheduled kitchen cleaning and sanitation duties

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized food service environment

• Participate in departmental meetings, projects, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Knowledge of Department of Health rules and regulations

• At least 1 year of experience in a related position required

• Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and resident care

This role requires Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening.
