Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support an individual with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in their home and community. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals build independence, meaningful routines, and strong community connections.

Responsibilities

• Assist individual with activities of daily living (personal care, meal preparation, household tasks)

• Support skill development to promote independence and self-advocacy

• Encourage participation in community activities, and social opportunities

• Follow individual support plan, behavioral support strategies, and health plan

• Ensure health, safety, rights, and dignity are upheld at all times

• Complete accurate and timely service documentation

• Communicate changes, concerns, or incidents to supervisors as required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred

• Ability to pass required background checks (PA clearances)

• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience supporting individuals with IDD is a plus, but not required

Schedule & Pay

• Evening, overnight and weekend shifts available

• Part-time and full-time opportunities
