Anchor Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our dietary team. The Cook will prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents while ensuring meals are prepared according to dietary requirements, menus, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to planned menus, recipes, dietary guidelines, and portion standards.

• Ensure meals are appetizing, nutritious, and well-presented.

• Follow recipes and accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions.

• Prepare meal substitutions and bedtime snacks as needed.

• Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safe food storage practices.

• Monitor food quality and freshness.

• Assist with food preparation and service for facility events.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food preparation area.

• Work collaboratively with the dietary and nursing teams to meet residents' nutritional needs.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, hospital, nursing home, or institutional food service preferred, but not required.

• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices.

• Ability to follow menus, recipes, and dietary instructions.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Dependable, organized, and committed to providing quality service to residents.
