Butterfly Home Care is hiring Female Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Caregivers to provide compassionate, individualized support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities throughout Northern Virginia.

Location: Sterling, Virginia and surrounding Northern Virginia communities
Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: Part-Time & Full-Time
Position: Female Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide individualized assistance and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meals

• Providing personal assistance according to each individual's care and service plan

• Supporting clients during community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and social activities

• Providing companionship and positive emotional support

• Supporting communication and participation in daily activities

• Assisting with household and routine daily tasks

• Helping maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment

• Following individualized service plans and caregiver instructions

• Completing accurate daily DSP documentation and progress notes

• Communicating important updates with families, supervisors, and the care team

• Following agency policies, care requirements, and applicable state regulations

What We're Looking For

You don't need years of caregiving experience to become a DSP. Women who are compassionate, dependable, patient, and willing to learn are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 18 years old

• Compassionate and patient personality

• Dependable and responsible

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to follow care plans and instructions

• Previous DSP, PCA, caregiver, healthcare, or human services experience is preferred but not required

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred

• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings

• Authorized to work in the United States

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
