We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the clinical team at our skilled nursing community in the Oklahoma City area.
This is an opportunity for a strong nurse leader who knows how to build a team, establish clinical standards, improve outcomes, and create a culture where residents receive excellent care and employees are supported in doing their best work.
Our DON will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with facility and regional leadership while having a meaningful voice in clinical operations and resident care.
As Director of Nursing, you will provide leadership and oversight of the facility's nursing department, including:
Lead, mentor, and support the nursing team
Promote high standards of resident care and clinical practice
Oversee nursing operations, staffing, and clinical systems
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility requirements
Drive survey readiness and assist with plans of correction when necessary
Monitor quality measures, clinical outcomes, incidents, wounds, infections, falls, rehospitalizations, and other high-risk areas
Participate in QAPI and performance-improvement initiatives
Ensure appropriate physician notification, documentation, care planning, and follow-through
Partner closely with the Administrator, MDS, therapy, pharmacy, providers, and interdisciplinary team
Identify clinical risks early and implement effective corrective action
Develop nursing leaders and strengthen accountability throughout the department
The ideal candidate is a clinically strong leader who can balance resident care, regulatory compliance, team development, and day-to-day nursing operations.
Qualifications:
Current, active RN license in Oklahoma or compact state license
Previous nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred
DON, ADON, Unit Manager, Regional Clinical, or comparable leadership experience preferred
Working knowledge of CMS requirements, survey processes, QAPI, care planning, and clinical documentation
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
Ability to coach staff, manage priorities, and respond effectively to clinical and operational challenges
We understand that a successful Director of Nursing needs more than responsibility—they need support, resources, collaboration, and a leadership team willing to work alongside them.
We are looking for a DON who wants to make an impact, strengthen a nursing department, develop their team, and be part of an organization focused on quality and continuous improvement.
If you're an experienced nurse leader ready for your next opportunity, we'd like to meet you. Apply today to start the conversation!
