Escort at a Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility

York Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and dependable Resident Escort / Transport Aide to assist residents with transportation throughout the facility. This role supports the clinical and therapy teams by ensuring residents safely arrive to scheduled appointments, therapy sessions, dining areas, and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely escort residents to and from therapy, activities, dining, and appointments.

• Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents and families

• Observe residents for any safety concerns during transport and report issues to nursing staff

• Ensure wheelchairs and transport equipment are used properly and safely

• Proper handling of resident documents and information

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous healthcare or customer service experience is a plus

• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Compassionate and patient-centered attitude
