RN/LPN Supervisor (PRN/Per Diem)

Maimonides Health Center (MHC) in Virginia Beach is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 11P-7A RN or LPN Nursing Supervisor to lead our nursing team EW (every weekend). The weekend includes Saturday and Sunday. As the 11P-7A RN or LPN Nursing Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing patient care and ensuring the highest standard of clinical excellence and compassionate service. Your strong leadership skills and clinical expertise as a current RN or LPN will guide our nursing staff, promote a positive work environment, and contribute to the well-being and satisfaction of our residents.

Shift Availability:

- 11P-7A every weekend in the PRN status.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff during the shift to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

• Assess and address patient needs promptly, providing support and guidance to nursing staff.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

• Monitor and maintain adherence to healthcare protocols, policies, and regulations.

• Oversee the accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and medical records.

• Act as a resource for nursing staff, offering guidance and support in challenging situations.

• Facilitate communication between shifts and maintain continuity of care.

• Participate in staff development and training to enhance the nursing team's knowledge and skills.

• Resolve any patient or family concerns and escalate issues to higher management as necessary.

• Ensure a safe and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Virginia.

• Proven experience as a Nurse Supervisor or in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.

• Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of nursing practices and procedures.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions during challenging situations.

• Proficient in electronic health records and computer applications.

• Demonstrated commitment to providing quality patient care and customer service.

• Availability to work the 11P-7A shift, every weekend and holidays as required.

• Must have experience in skilled nursing.
