Speech-Language Pathologist

Loudoun Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a 104-bed skilled nursing facility seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing services to residents. The SLP will assess residents, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapy, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote communication, swallowing safety, and overall functional independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.

• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans based on resident needs and care goals.

• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.

• Administer and interpret diagnostic assessments related to communication and swallowing.

• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals.

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, swallowing precautions, and therapeutic exercises.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care conferences, and discharge planning.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.

• Promote resident-centered care, safety, and functional independence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Pay range: $50-$55/Hour with SIGN-ON BONUS
