As a Part-Time Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities, promoting independence, social connection, and progress toward personal goals.

About This Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Part-Time DSP to support a 36-year-old verbal individual with a mild intellectual disability. The ideal candidate will provide companionship and support during evening hours, enabling her to engage in activities she enjoys, such as going to the movies, gym, and library. This can be a great fit for a college student, educator, human-services professional, caregiver, or someone looking for meaningful part-time work.

Responsibilities

• Support an adult with developmental disabilities at home and/or in the community
• Provide companionship and support during evening hours, engaging in activities such as going to the movies, gym, and library
• Encourage independence, social connection, and progress toward personal goals
• Assist with routines and activities based on the individual's needs
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions
• Complete required documentation after services and communicate reliably with the Kindly team

Qualifications

• Able to consistently commit to the exact posted schedule
• Dependable, respectful, patient, and comfortable working one-to-one
• Able to complete required onboarding, background checks, and training

Schedule and Pay

• Part-time schedule: Thursday and Friday evenings, 8 hours a week (flexible)
• Competitive hourly rate: $19 - $21
• Location: Plainsboro, NJ 08536
• Driving on shift: REQUIRED
