Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Spanish-Speaking Position

ALAY Home Care is seeking compassionate, responsible, and dedicated Spanish-speaking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities throughout New Jersey.

Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Language: Spanish required
Employment Type: [Full-Time / Part-Time / Per Diem]
Pay: $21.40–$30.00 per hour
Location: Various locations throughout New Jersey

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and daily routines.

• Provide companionship, guidance, and emotional support.

• Support individuals in participating in community activities and attending appointments.

• Provide behavioral support and follow individual support plans.

• Assist with medication administration as permitted by training and applicable requirements.

• Maintain effective communication with individuals receiving services, their families, and members of the care team.

• Accurately document services provided and daily activities.

• Follow all company policies and procedures, NJ DDD requirements, and individual-specific support requirements.

• Use the required Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system to accurately record the start and end of each shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Fluency in Spanish; English communication skills are preferred.

• Current CPR/First Aid certification.

• Valid driver's license.

• Reliable transportation preferred, especially for positions that require community-based support.

• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, caregiving, or healthcare is preferred.

• Must be responsible, professional, compassionate, and able to work independently.

• Must successfully complete background checks, fingerprinting, drug screening, and other applicable NJ DDD requirements.
