MARQUIS HEALTH CONSULTING SERVICES

Social Media Specialist

Salary Range: $65-75k annually, commensurate with experience, portfolio, and demonstrated social media expertise.

In Office - Brick, New Jersey

Are you the person who spots a social trend before everyone else does? Do you love turning everyday moments into content that makes people stop, watch, read, and engage?

Marquis Health Consulting Services is seeking a creative, organized, and trend-savvy Social Media Specialist to join our Digital Marketing team in Brick, New Jersey.

The role combines content creation, community management, reporting, and high-volume publishing. You will bring the stories of skilled nursing facilities, senior living communities, and ancillary healthcare service lines to life across social media. Content may feature patient outcomes, employee stories, resident experiences, clinical programs, recruitment initiatives, community events, and healthcare services.

Who We Are

Marquis Health Consulting Services provides administrative and consulting services to skilled nursing facilities, senior living communities, and ancillary healthcare service lines throughout the United States.

We partner with healthcare organizations to strengthen operations, elevate their brands, and create exceptional experiences for patients, residents, families, employees, referral partners, and the communities they serve.

Our Digital Marketing team supports a diverse healthcare portfolio spanning post-acute care, senior living, rehabilitation, home-based and ancillary health services, recruitment, clinical programming, and community engagement.

The Opportunity

As our Social Media Specialist, you will report directly to the Social Media Manager and work within the Digital Marketing team to execute the social media strategy established by the Vice President of Digital Marketing and Social Media.

You will manage a high-volume stream of content across multiple healthcare brands, communities, and service lines throughout our Mid-Atlantic and New England divisions. The right person can balance creativity with organization, storytelling with strategy, speed with accuracy, trends with brand standards, and content creation with performance insights.

You should be as comfortable writing a compelling caption as you are identifying a short-form video trend, reviewing analytics, working in Canva, responding to an online review, organizing projects in Monday.com, or using AI tools to improve your workflow.

What You Will Do

Create Content That Connects

·    Write, edit, and optimize content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and emerging social platforms.

·    Turn photos, videos, testimonials, patient success stories, employee spotlights, resident experiences, clinical programs, events, and healthcare services into engaging social content.

·    Develop attention-grabbing hooks, captions, headlines, calls to action, and platform-specific messaging.

·    Identify opportunities for Reels, short-form video, trending content, and creator-style storytelling.

·    Support campaigns focused on brand awareness, recruitment, referral relationships, community engagement, clinical programs, and healthcare service lines.

·    Adapt messaging for patients, residents, families, prospective residents, healthcare professionals, referral partners, employees, and job candidates.

Manage a Fast Moving Social Presence

·    Manage and schedule a high volume of daily social media content across multiple brands and client communities.

·    Execute established campaigns and social strategies accurately and consistently.

·    Track incoming social media submissions from receipt through publication.

·    Maintain accurate social profiles, branding, links, and business information.

·    Collaborate with marketing team members and client communities to keep content calendars active, timely, and relevant.

·    Ensure content follows established brand, quality, and organizational standards.

Engage and Protect the Brand

·    Monitor social media channels and engage with followers in a timely and professional manner.

·    Respond to comments, messages, and community interactions.

·    Support online reputation management, including monitoring and responding to Google and other online reviews according to client guidelines.

·    Help maintain a consistent, positive brand experience across digital touchpoints.

Measure What Matters

·    Use Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Facebook Insights, and LinkedIn Analytics to monitor performance.

·    Track follower growth, engagement, publishing activity, and key social media metrics.

·    Maintain accurate social media tracking and reporting.

·    Identify top-performing content and translate data into recommendations for future campaigns.

·    Contribute ideas for improving engagement, reach, audience growth, and digital performance.

Stay Ahead of Social

Social media moves quickly, and we want someone who enjoys keeping up. You will stay current on:

·    Platform and algorithm updates

·    Social media and cultural trends

·    Short-form video and creator-style content

·    Community engagement best practices

·    AI-assisted content creation and workflows

·    Social media management technology

·    Healthcare, senior living, and post-acute marketing trends

·    New opportunities to improve content performance and efficiency

Most importantly, we want you to bring ideas to the table.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means:

·    Social content is accurate, engaging, on-brand, and published on time.

·    Social media submissions and campaigns are organized and tracked effectively.

·    Followers, consumers, and community members receive timely responses.

·    Client channels remain active, relevant, and engaging.

·    Audience growth and engagement continue moving in a positive direction.

·    Reporting is accurate and helps inform smarter marketing decisions.

·    You consistently contribute new ideas, creative opportunities, and ways to improve our social presence.

What You Bring

·    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.

·    Three or more years of professional social media experience, preferably in a corporate, agency, healthcare, multi-location, hospitality, or similarly fast-paced environment.

·    Strong understanding of social media strategy, content development, community management, and platform best practices.

·    Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.

·    A strong creative eye and an understanding of what makes digital content engaging.

·    Experience managing multiple brands, priorities, deadlines, and content requests simultaneously.

·    Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

·    Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, high-volume environment.

·    Curiosity, initiative, and enthusiasm for testing new ideas, trends, and technology.

Technology and Tools

Experience with Hootsuite, Canva, Monday.com, ChatGPT and other AI-powered marketing tools, CapCut, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, short-form video editing tools, and social media analytics and reporting platforms is strongly preferred.

You Might Be a Great Fit If

You are the person who saves trending audio because you immediately have an idea for how a brand could use it. You know the difference between a caption that is technically correct and one that makes someone stop scrolling.

You can manage a busy content calendar without losing sight of the details. You enjoy working across multiple brands while understanding that every healthcare community and service line has its own audience, story, and voice.

You are excited about using creativity, technology, data, AI, and social media to tell meaningful stories about healthcare and the people behind it.

If that sounds like you, we would love to meet you.
