SYNERGY HomeCare of the West Valley is seeking an experienced, confident, and dependable caregiver for a full-time afternoon/evening position.
Please read the following carefully before applying: This position requires a caregiver who is comfortable working in a challenging social environment. The right caregiver for this position must be able to remain calm, patient, professional, and respectful during difficult or confrontational interactions.
This position may involve working with a client or family members who have strong personalities, challenging communication styles, differing expectations, or may become confrontational at times. We are looking for someone who does not take difficult interactions personally, can maintain appropriate professional boundaries, and is confident de-escalating tense situations while continuing to provide compassionate care.

This position is best suited for someone who:

• Is comfortable in a potentially confrontational environment
  

• Remains composed when a client is upset, frustrated, demanding, or difficult to communicate with
  

• Does not engage in arguments or respond emotionally to confrontation
  

• Can establish and maintain professional boundaries
  

• Communicates concerns appropriately with the office
  

• Is patient, dependable, and emotionally steady
  

• Can work independently and confidently
  

• Understands that challenging interactions should not affect the quality of care provided
  

Caregiver Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-on-one, non-medical care in the client's home
  

• Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care as needed
  

• Providing companionship and supervision
  

• Assisting with mobility and other care needs according to the client's care plan
  

• Meal preparation and light housekeeping related to the client's care
  

• Medication reminders
  

• Observing and reporting changes or concerns to the office
  

• Accurately documenting care provided
  

• Maintaining a safe and respectful environment
  

• Following the established care plan and SYNERGY HomeCare policies
  

Requirements

• Previous caregiving experience
  

• Reliable transportation
  

• Dependable attendance and punctuality
  

• Strong communication skills
  

• Ability to maintain professionalism during stressful or confrontational interactions
  

• Ability to follow established care plans and directions
  

• Must be comfortable working the 1 PM – 9 PM schedule
