Dietary Cook

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, culinary arts, and dietary assistance, with a focus on providing high-quality meal preparation and service. This role involves working closely with the dietary department to ensure nutritious, appealing meals are prepared and served in a timely manner, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble meals according to menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met

• Assist with menu planning and food preparation for various dietary needs

• Handle food safely and hygienically in compliance with health regulations

• Serve meals to residents or customers in a courteous and professional manner

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including proper sanitation of equipment and utensils

• Support catering events and special meal services as needed

• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal production and timely service

• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as necessary

Requirements

• Prior experience in dietary services, food preparation, or culinary roles preferred

• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures

• Experience in fine dining, restaurant, or catering environments is advantageous

• Skills in meal preparation, cooking, knife handling, and food presentation

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

• Strong understanding of menu planning and dietary accommodations

• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to support operational hours
