We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join our team at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab. As a valued member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of our residents' medical records.

Purpose/Belief Statement:

As a Medical Records Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that active and inactive medical records contain sufficient documentation to accurately reflect the resident's condition from admission through discharge. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all records are kept confidential, secure, and up-to-date, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and organization.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Audit records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with State/Federal regulations

• Maintain a secure and organized filing system for medical records

• Ensure medical records are thinned according to established policy and procedures

• Process resident medical documentation to be filed

• Perform all other general and/or specific clerical duties required

• Attend and participate in scheduled training, education classes, and orientation programs

• Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

• High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent

• Previous related experience preferred
