Part-time DSP for Adult with High Medical Needs

Kindly Direct Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional for a part-time, higher-acuity behavioral assignment in Lakewood, NJ. 

About This Opportunity 

This position requires a DSP with strong judgment, reliability, and relevant direct-care experience. The individual has behaviors such has hitting and requires a lot of assistance with ADLs. The individual comes from a close-knit, traditional community and has specific cultural and lifestyle preferences. The ideal DSP will be respectful, dependable, and sensitive to her values, traditions, routines, and individual needs. The assignment rate reflects the complexity and expectations of this specific case. 

Responsibilities May Include 

• Provide close one-to-one supervision and safety monitoring. 

• Provide behavioral, ADL, and personal care support as required. 

• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, health, and safety protocols within DSP scope and training. 

• Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence. 

• Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly. 

• Recognize and promptly report changes in health, behavior, functioning, or safety. 

• Respond appropriately to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures. 

• Maintain accurate service documentation and dependable communication with the care team. 

Qualifications 

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role is strongly preferred but not required for the right candidate. 

• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols. 

• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening. 

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment. 

• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently. 

Schedule: Friday from 2pm- 6pm & Sunday from 4pm- 8pm
Pay: $20-$24/hour
Location: Lakewood, NJ
Driving on shift: Not required
