Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for geriatrics, orthopedics, and post-surgical cases.
Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities to promote healing and mobility.
Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
Document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology guidelines.
Conduct thorough clinical assessments and record findings in electronic health records (EHR), supporting effective discharge planning and ongoing treatment adjustments.
Support patient care activities across multiple settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, home health visits, and acute care environments.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans that address individual patient needs and goals.
Skills
● Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice.
Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation and medical documentation practices to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities to alleviate pain and improve function.
Experience operating medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments with safety and precision.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management for efficient documentation and communication.
● Inpatient experience with skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings is highly desirable.
Knowledge of discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients returning home or to other care environments.
Outpatient clinic experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or general physiotherapy is preferred.
