About the Job
Trio Health Partners is seeking a Clinical Education Specialist – Advanced Practice & Post-Acute Care to join our Clinical Education & Quality team. This role supports the Director of Clinical Education in developing and delivering clinical education programs for Nurse Practitioners and facility nursing teams (RNs, LPNs, and CNAs) across our skilled nursing facility network.
You'll play a key role in new-hire onboarding, provider development, competency assessment, and quality improvement — translating complex clinical concepts into practical, real-world education for post-acute and long-term care settings.
This is a multi-site role requiring regular travel to skilled nursing facilities and network locations across Illinois, including occasional overnight travel outside the primary geographic area. If you thrive on building relationships face-to-face with facility leadership, providers, and nursing teams, this role is built for you.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $130,000–$140,000, plus 65% of any billed services (as applicable)

What You'll Need
Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license and national NP certification
Graduate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Demonstrated experience as an in-house NP in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting
Minimum of one year of formal or structured educator experience
Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
Willingness and ability to travel regularly
