Pay

Current Opportunity in Elkhart

We are currently hiring for a full-time caregiving position in the Elkhart area.

Schedule: 12:00 PM–9:00 PM

Candidates should be dependable, punctual, and available to consistently work the scheduled shift.

Important work environment requirement: Must be comfortable working in a client's home where smoking is present.

What You'll Do

As a caregiver with Firefly Home Care, you will help clients maintain their comfort, dignity, safety, and independence in their own homes.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting clients with personal care and activities of daily living.

• Providing companionship and emotional support.

• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping.

• Promoting client safety, comfort, and independence.

• Following individualized care plans and client-specific instructions.

• Observing and communicating changes in clients' needs or conditions.

• Completing care documentation as required.

• Providing respectful, compassionate, and dependable support to clients and their families.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy helping others and take pride in providing quality care.

Qualifications and requirements:

• A compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude.

• A professional and respectful approach to caregiving.

• Reliable transportation.

• Ability to pass required background screenings.

• Availability to work the 12:00 PM–9:00 PM shift.

• Comfort working in a home environment where smoke is present.

• Ability to follow care instructions and communicate effectively.

• A genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and quality of life.

Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates compassion, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
