Laundry Aide

Schedule: 7 am - 3 pm | 3 pm - 11 pm

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to help ensure residents have clean, fresh, and properly handled clothing and linens. The Laundry Aide will be responsible for collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing laundry while following facility sanitation and safety procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and sort resident clothing, linens, towels, and other laundry

• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely

• Wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens

• Return clean clothing and personal items to the appropriate residents

• Deliver clean linens and supplies to resident rooms and designated areas

• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or items requiring special handling

• Maintain clean and organized laundry areas

• Monitor laundry supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies are needed

• Follow proper infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures

• Handle soiled and contaminated laundry according to facility guidelines

• Report damaged clothing, equipment issues, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous laundry, housekeeping, hospitality, or institutional cleaning experience preferred but not always required

• Previous experience in a nursing home, healthcare, senior living, hotel, or similar setting is a plus

• Must be dependable, organized, and detail-oriented

• Must be able to follow instructions and established safety and sanitation procedures

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

• Must be comfortable working around elderly residents and in a healthcare environment
