Occupational Therapist PRN

This position is at a skilled nursing facility in Floresville that serves both short-term and long-term patients. Floresville Nursing and Rehabilitation is under new ownership and has an in-house therapy team with smaller daily case loads with an emphasis on optimizing time with patients.

Occupational Therapist's Job Responsibilities: 

• Helps residents by providing rehabilitative and skilled therapy maintenance services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, or developmental impairments. 

• Maintains expected productivity/efficiency set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator. 

• Maintains accurate and timely patients' occupational therapy records by recording resident’s progress and daily notes under federal, state, and insurance guidelines. 

• Records accurate billing information of occupational therapy services rendered. 

• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility guidelines and procedures. 

• Helps keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs as needed. 

• Serves and protects occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements. 

• Enhances occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Current Texas licensure as an OTR is required
