Nurse Next Door Coeur d'Alene is seeking an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping clients improve their mobility, independence, and quality of life while providing exceptional care in a home-based setting.

Essential Functions

Provide Physical Therapy Treatment:
Carry out treatment plans established by a licensed Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, mobility and balance training, strengthening, functional activities, and other appropriate interventions within the PTA scope of practice.

Monitor Patient Progress:
Observe and document patients' responses to treatment, functional progress, and any changes in condition. Communicate findings and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.

Patient & Caregiver Education:
Reinforce education provided by the Physical Therapist and teach patients and caregivers appropriate exercises, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and home programs.

Documentation:
Complete timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of treatments, patient progress, and other required information in accordance with company, regulatory, and professional standards.

Collaboration:
Work closely with the supervising Physical Therapist and other members of the healthcare team to support coordinated, high-quality patient care.

Education & Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program

  • Current Idaho Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing

  • Current BLS/CPR certification

  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment background check and drug screening

  • Proof of personal liability insurance, if required

  • Ability to work independently in a home-care environment while following the established Physical Therapist plan of care

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills

  • Ability to accurately complete electronic documentation

  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes within the service area

Compensation

$40 per visit
