We are seeking a professional, organized, and people-focused HR Coordinator to join our skilled nursing facility team. The HR Coordinator will support the day-to-day human resources functions of the facility, including employee onboarding, personnel records, recruiting, attendance, employee communication, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion. Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or a similar environment is preferred.
Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including employment paperwork, background checks, required documentation, and orientation.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
Assist with recruiting, job postings, applicant communication, interviews, and new-hire processing.
Coordinate employee orientation and ensure required employment documentation is completed.
Track employee certifications, licenses, health requirements, training, and other required documentation.
Monitor employee attendance, call-offs, tardiness, and related documentation.
Assist management with employee relations, disciplinary documentation, and performance-related processes.
Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, attendance, and workplace procedures.
Assist with payroll preparation by reviewing timekeeping records and identifying discrepancies.
Maintain employee information in HRIS, payroll, and scheduling systems.
Assist with benefits enrollment and employee benefit questions.
Help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
Coordinate required employee training and maintain accurate training records.
Assist with employee separation, exit paperwork, and offboarding procedures.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, resident, and facility information.
Prepare HR reports and documentation as requested by facility leadership.
Support the Administrator and management team with HR-related projects and initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Previous experience in Human Resources, preferably in healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or another healthcare setting.
High school diploma or equivalent required; HR, business, or healthcare-related education preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and electronic HR/payroll systems.
Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of the facility leadership team.
Knowledge of employment practices and HR compliance is preferred.
Experience with employee onboarding, recruiting, and personnel file management preferred.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, approachable, and proactive. You should be comfortable working with employees at all levels, handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Experience working in a SNF, nursing home, assisted living facility, hospital, or other healthcare environment is a plus.
