Medical Acuity DSP

Kindly Direct Care is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional for a higher-acuity one-to-one assignment in Lakewood, NJ. 

About This Opportunity 

This position requires a DSP with strong judgment, reliability, and relevant direct-care experience. The individual has high medical needs and requires home-based supports. The assignment rate reflects the complexity and expectations of this specific case. 

Responsibilities May Include 

• Give close one-to-one supervision to an individual with high needs.

• Provide individual with full assistance including showering, dressing, and feeding. Individual has a wheelchair, is non-verbaland, and has behaviors including hitting other.

• Provide assistance with personal care as required. 

• Follow individualized behavioral, medical, health, and safety protocols within DSP scope and training. 

• Support communication, routines, community participation, and independence. 

• Use approved support strategies consistently and calmly. 

• Recognize and promptly report changes in health, behavior, functioning, or safety. 

• Respond appropriately to urgent concerns and follow emergency procedures. 

• Maintain accurate service documentation and dependable communication with the care team. 

Qualifications 

• Prior experience in DSP, CNA, HHA, behavioral health, direct care, complex care, or a similar high-support role required. 

• Strong reliability, judgment, communication, and ability to follow detailed protocols. 

• Comfort with the specific support needs reviewed during screening. 

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the assignment. 

• Ability to complete all required training and competency requirements before working independently. 

Schedule: Friday from 2pm- 6pm & Sunday from 4pm- 8pm
Pay: $21-$24 
Location: Lakewood, NJ
Driving on shift: Not Required
