Business Office Manager

Riverside Health and Rehab Center is seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Business Office Manager (BOM) to join our leadership team.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a facility with a great culture, supportive leadership, and a dedicated team that works together to provide exceptional care. The Business Office Manager plays an important role in maintaining the financial health of the facility, with a strong focus on accounts receivable and collections.

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday daytime position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage facility accounts receivable and collection activities

  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances

  • Communicate professionally with residents, responsible parties, and other stakeholders regarding account balances and payment arrangements

  • Manage private-pay collections, including deposits and ongoing monthly balances

  • Track Medicaid-pending accounts and help ensure required financial documentation is obtained promptly

  • Maintain accurate resident financial records and account documentation

  • Reconcile census and payer information to ensure records are complete and accurate

  • Process payments, deposits, refunds, and account adjustments in accordance with facility procedures

  • Identify delinquent or high-risk accounts and escalate concerns appropriately

  • Coordinate closely with admissions, social services, medical records, and facility leadership

  • Protect confidential resident and financial information

  • Perform other business-office duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least one year of business office management experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting

  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable, aging reports, and collection practices

  • Proven ability to manage private-pay and Medicaid-pending accounts

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-through skills

  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately about sensitive financial matters

  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative leadership team

  • Experience with PointClickCare or similar long-term care software is preferred
